Burn Ban in Effect for Rockland County & Surrounding Areas

Due to an increased risk of wildfires, a burn ban has been issued for Rockland County and surrounding areas ahead of the annual statewide ban beginning on March 16th.

Effective Immediately: Residential brush burning is prohibited in the following counties:

 Nassau, Suffolk, Richmond, Kings, Queens, Bronx, New York, Westchester, Putnam, Orange, Rockland, Dutchess, and Ulster.
